What happens if an item is Out of Stock?
Occasionally few products go Out of Stock due to unexpected sales demand. We proactively mark these items as "Out of Stock" to avoid inconvenience to our esteemed shoppers and we apologize for any inconvenience due to products being marked out of stock.

What modes of payment do you accept
Aloe Veda Online is set up to take immediate orders online through the following modes of payment:

Why is your COD limit so high?
Apart from Shipping Charges, courier companies charge Cash Collection Charges for COD orders. The amount charged is as high as 70%-80% of order value for small orders and makes it unviable to offer small orders under the COD option.
Aloe Veda has set up a reasonable limit of Rs. 2500/- for accepting order under Cash on Delivery.

How many days does it take to deliver
Purchases are shipped from our warehouse in Chennai, Tamil Nadu by courier. Please allow following number of days from receipt of your order.
- For domestic (metros & central district areas) – 4 – 7 days
- For domestic (non-metros & out of city areas) – 7 – 14 days
- For international – 14-21 business days.

What do you mean by paraben-free?
Companies use preservatives to extend the shelf life of products and prevent growth of bacteria and fungi in, for instance, face cream. Parabens are the most widely used preservatives in cosmetics and personal care products such as soap, moisturizers, shaving cream and underarm deodorant. Parabens are esters (a compound formed from acid and alcohol) of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. The most common are methylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben.
Parabens may be linked to breast cancer, endocrine disruption and fertility issues. Studies also indicate that methylparaben applied on the skin may react with UVB leading to increased skin aging and DNA damage.

How effective is Tea Tree Oil?
Tea tree oils have six types, oils with different chemical compositions. These include a terpinen-4-ol type, a terpinolene type, and four 1,8-cineole types. These various oil types contain over 98 compounds, with terpinen-4-ol the major component responsible for antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. A second component 1,8-cineole, is likely responsible for most allergies in TTO products. Adverse reactions to TTO diminish with minimization of 1,8-cineole content. In commercial production, TTO is prepared as a terpinen-4-ol type.
Tea tree Oil is an excellent anti-septic and dis-infectant when mixed with water. Tea Tree Oil is also effective for Anti-Acne and Anti-Dandruff therapy. Studies indicate a 3-4% blend as effective for dandruff treatment and control. 5% tea tree oil gel appears to be as effective as 5% benzoyl peroxide" for treating mild to moderate acne.

In recent years, a "Sulfate-Free" label has become increasingly frequent on the label of every new shampoo and conditioner. Sulphate-free shampoos are associated with being "healthier" and "organic" and also ensure softer, cleaner hair by means of more natural materials.
What exactly are Sulfates? Sulfates, essentially, are what make shampoos turn into a thick lather in the shower. This ingredient, which is standard for most shampoo products, has come under attack for causing frizziness (especially in curly hair) and damaging colored hair. After dying your hair or receiving a chemical treatment (such as a Keratin or Brazilian blowout), salons recommend a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to maintain the style. Sulfate-free shampoos let curls stay curlier and lets color treated hair stay colored longer. Aloe Veda recommends switching to a sulfate-free formula if you have allergies, eczema or find your curent shampoo irritating to the scalp.

All our oils are cold-pressed without heat or solvents (coconut, sesame, castor oil, olive oil, jojoba, almond, avocado) or steam distilled (grapeseed) and are hexane free i.e. the solvent normally used for extraction.

Can Aloe Veda Distil oils be consumed too?
Aloe Veda, Natria & Distil are personal care / wellness brands and all Distil products are bottled in a sterile factory approved for cosmetics production. All our oils are made without exposing the product to sunlight to retain all the natural nutrients, vitamins, etc and we package and retail this for skin, face and hair care as skin 'requires' and 'absorbs' these nutrients. While Distil Oils are very pure, natural, cold-pressed or steam-distilled oils of the highest grade, they have not been licensed and certified for food application.
Having said that, we soon plan to launch our oils for food use (with suitable licenses) and the products will be available in our online store. We will keep you updated.

Can Distil Oils be used for babies & children?
The benefits of baby massage are well known. However, there is much confusion about the type of oil to use on your baby’s delicate skin, especially if you are wary of baby skin conditions. Why do you use color & fragrance, if you are selling pure gel
Pure Aloe Vera Gel has a smoky, color and an unpleasant smell. Most people may not like the same. So we have masked this color and smell with mild masking fragrance & color.
